Meeting: September 13, 2018

Nanc hosted the September meeting where we discussed In the Kingdom of Ice by Hampton Sides.  We spent far more time visiting after a two month hiatus than we did talking about book.  Annie, Christe, Ellen, Jo, Linda, and Nanc attended.  There was light fare before an Ecker's apple pie for dessert.

The members of the expedition were courageous and endured unfathomable hardships.

It was surprising when John Muir appeared in the story on one of the ships sent out to look for DeLong and the Jeannette.
