We had a short meeting at Jo's to discuss The Elephant Whisperer by Lawrence Anthony. Jo served two varieties of quiche, as well as fruit and other side dishes. Jo, Julie, Judy, Kathy, Linda, and Nanc, along with Jo and Nanc's sister, Sue, attended. After some general socializing we began to talk about the book, but it suddenly got very windy with dark clouds moving in, and all those on foot wanted to get home before the storm hit, and the meeting quickly broke up.

We decided to cancel the August meeting. Ellen was slated to host, and no one at July's meeting was in a position to host in August with several members scheduled to be out of town and others planning weddings or having work done at their houses. We are going to push the previously scheduled books forward a month.
